"Vastushastra" The Mystic of Science

Vastushastra which combines science, art, astronomy and astrology is an inquisitive science of architecture which compresses the forces act upon a given space through the flow of affirmative energy. The Vastushastra originated thousands of years ago in India and scholarly men in those days devoted their lives to the progress of the science “vastushastra” or “vastu” as it is widely recognised today. The values based purely on the effect of sunrays during differnet times of the day were set during those days by the scholarly men. Here, Vastu denotes to ‘mansion’ or ‘house’, whereas, Shastra refers to ‘rule’s’ or ‘manual’.  

Vastu is a primeval Indian science of architecture and buildings. Along with this it is also, the science of directions which combines five elements of nature those are earth, water, air, fire and space which are called as “Paanchabhootas”.  These, five are the most essential elements because everything on earth is built from these elements. Through this vastu aids in making a pleasant setting or a place in a most scientific way to live and work and paves the way to enrich wellbeing, fortune, success and pleasure in rational surroundings.

In ancient times the word ‘Vastu’ means ‘dwelling’, is supposed to be the living places of god and man, whereas, in modern times it includes all buildings, regardless of their use such as, business establishments, lodges, hotels, residences, industries etc based on the ‘Panchabhutas’ i.e five essential elements of the nature viz. air, fire, water, earth and universe.

Vastu forms the necessities of each construction and it should be followed right from the preliminary level i.e. from selecting a plot to shift in the building for whichever purpose it constructed whether, for business, living, commercial etc. and vastu principles should be followed properly as it is the bridge between man and nature.

Thus the vastushastra which is the mystic of science for designing and building aids us to enhance our lives and will secure from things going wrong.
